Activity Overview: The presentation will discuss the importance of ongoing preparation and documentation for the prevention or defense of audits from third party payors.  Participants will learn about the incredible impact of medical records requests on both audits and revocations; provider’s affirmative obligations under the 60 day rule and the general process for both federal and commercial audits.  Additionally, the speaker will touch on the importance of ongoing compliance for other areas, such as preparing for a sale and the related diligence and/or internal audit/investigation.
