Overview: Social Determinants of Health have been an issue for longer than you may have realized. There have been significant opportunities noted in the past few decades with little to no resounding efforts to address or resolve. This has caused the escalation of the topic that we now see during the pandemic. As osteopathic physicians, if we continue to ignore these issues affecting our ethnic minorities, the consequences to our health system will be significant and debilitating.
